10:30 AM Weather for Saturday 70 degrees at your racetime
Goals for Saturday: Get your PR! This course is flat and on the fast side! You can get out quick and maintain it (as long as you were smart about it). This is a flat course, but if you are not doing the little things*… those things that really matter, flat doesn’t matter. You can take it out fast, focus and concentrate in the middle, and bring it on home pumping arms and lifting knees to the chute. Be an encourager! Don’t think of just yourself, but keep an eye on your team as well! What are you waiting for? This team has been a major underachiever at this stage of the season. There are reasons for that. It is your moment in history to create. These moments in high school do not occur again. It is time to forge a sense of team accomplishment. Having Ryan run his first high school race should be a pick-me-up to the team. A team is more than 1 person though. A team is a group that identifies with a common cause…a common vision… and let’s nothing stand in their way. Where’s your vision been? Let’s get that elusive trophy for the office counter!
I need these runners to be in charge of the warm up and cool down Saturday: Jay and Adam V (Warmups); Ryan and Dean (Cooldown).
Note: If there is an emergency and you need to leave the meet with a parent after participating, submit a written note from the parent a day in advance of the meet. This should be in Coach Davis’ possession in advance. An email or cellphone text from the parent can suffice as well. Thanks for abiding to BCS Board policy! Let’s Go Chiefs!
We will not stop to eat after the meet. Bring a packed lunch or concession money. Coach Davis will have PB & J.
