I need these runners to be in charge of the warm up and cool down Saturday:   Jay and Adam V (Warmups);  Ryan and Dean (Cooldown). Note:  If there is an emergency and you need to leave the meet with a parent after participating, submit a written note from the parent a day in advance of the meet.  This should be in Coach Davis’ possession in advance.  An email or cellphone text from the parent can suffice as well.  Thanks for abiding to BCS Board policy!  Let’s Go Chiefs! We will not stop to eat after the meet.  Bring a packed lunch or concession money.  Coach Davis will have PB & J. The Chieftain CC Team raced its way to an 8th place out of 18 finish at Circleville's Kiwanis CC Invitational.  The course was changed from the past as the runners trekked around a campground and encircled a shaded corn field.  Despite this, it wasn't their best performance of the season as Chieftain head coach Ben Davis exlaimed, "We are not down the road as far as I would've believed us to be at this point in the season... we have our work cut out for us."  Out of the 180 runners, the results were as follows:   22. Storm Harman 18:41 27. Wes Samuels 18:49 48. Jay Clement 19:46 68. David Guajardo 20:38 81. TJ Lamb 21:01 84. Logan Carr 21:10 117. Dean Smith 22:55 129. Adam Preston 23:35 149. Adam Verbsy 24:38 156. Cayden Dement 25:12 166. Zack Kerns 27:22 168. Keith Wisecup 27:30 169. Michael Coakley 27:31

Bellefontaine Southview Park-  The BHS Boys cross country team pushed 6 runners into the top 11 enroute to a 2nd place finish at the Logan County CC Championships.  West Liberty Salem nipped the Chiefs by 3 points.  Placing in the top 11 were Storm Harman 3rd, Jay Clement 5th, Wes Samuels 6th, David Guajardo 7th, freshman TJ Lamb 10th, and first year runner Logan Carr 11th. Other placers were 22nd Dean Smith, 25th Adam Verbsky, 27th Adam Preston, 33rd Michael Coakley, and 37th Keith Wisecup.  Junior David Guajardo quipped, "It was nice to run on a home course!"  The Chiefs had not hosted a meet since the 2009 CBC meet.  Coach Davis was very pleased with his squad's efforts.  He was very appreciative of all the parents that helped with the meet.  The Chiefs go to Circleville to participate Saturday morning at 11:00 AM.
