On behalf of the Bellefontaine High School Staff, we warmly welcome all students and our families to Bellefontaine High School for 2019-2020! Go Chiefs! BHS is committed to providing a school experience that encourages all students to become strong citizens through pursuit of academic learning, community engagement, and personal growth. BHS provides an exceptional academic program balanced with quality systems of student support and extracurricular opportunities.

As a Chieftain at BHS, if you can dream it, you can make it happen here.  Our students have tremendous academic and extracurricular success.  It is our hope that all students can find their own pathways and their own strengths.  As we look forward to next year, we are celebrating the outstanding successes of students from this past year.
Some of these successes include:

Chieftains earned scholarships to advance their careers! In 2019, our students reported $1,300,000 in college scholarships and $230,000 were local scholarships. Our academic programming and coursework is full of career pathway options and advanced coursework, where students can earn college credit through almost a full two years of college. Students can take courses and compete in national competitions in STEM, Arts & Communication, Business & Entrepreneurship, and Health & Human Services. If you can dream it, you can achieve it.

Chieftains are Champions! Our extracurriculars were full of champions in 2019, including 7 CBC championships, 2 OMEA superior ratings, 4 OMEA excellent ratings, 1 individual state champion, 2 individual state runners up, 1 athletic team state qualifier, 9 individual state athletic qualifiers, 1 DECA national qualifier, 1 FCCLA national gold medalist, 2 FCCLA state gold medalists, 1 Educators Rising State Champion, 3 State Governor’s Show art qualifiers, 1 Skills USA state champion, and a Quiz Bowl Team National Qualifier.
