About the Bruce E. Higham College Scholarship:
The Board of Directors of the Jamestown Area Foundation, Inc. is proud to announce the availability of the Bruce E. Higham College Scholarship.  Each year the Foundation awards a full college scholarship to one Bellefotnaine High School male graduate under the Bruce E. Higham Trust.  The scholarship includes all tuition, room, board, and books for up to five consecutive years, including graduate school.  The scholarship is for attendance at any State of Ohio public supported college or university.

Bruce E. Higham was a 1938 graduate of Bellefontaine High School and a 1943 graduate of The Ohio State University where he earned a degree in Engineering.  As a youth, he carried the local paper and was an active member of the Boy Scouts.  He spent most of his adult life in southern Ohio and worked for Cincinnati Financial.  His father was also in investments, but for a time served as a minister in Bellefontaine.  He passed away in Jamestown in Green County, where he had lived since the mid 1950’s.
